Until then, the closest walk from Bure Cottage is a round 6-mile walk from Hoverton to Cotishall and back. From Bure Cottage, cross over Wroxham Bridge and turn left in the High Street into Wroxham Park. Walk to the end of the path with the river on your left, and follow through to Wroxham Railway Station. 

The walk starts from the Bure Valley Steam Station there. From the cottage it'll take you about 2 1/2 hours - easy to follow and easy to walk! Take a break by the river at the King's Head Pub, Coltishall.
